“Turn-on switching time is below 80μs,” according to Toshiba. “Compared to the previous generation – TLP3450 – this represents a 40% improvement.”

It has a single normally-open ‘contact’, consisting of back-to-back mosfets making it suitable for switching ac signals.

Continuous output rating is 20V and 160mA (480mA pulsed), with an on-resistance typically of 6.8Ω (8.5Ωmax). Capacitance across the output terminals with the contact off is typically 0.6pF (0.9pFmax).

The contact closes will always close with 3mA through the input side LED, and typically closes with 600μA.

Isolation from input to output side is at least 500Vrms.

Operation is across -40 to +110°C, and the package is a 1.45 x 2 x 1.3mm S-VSON4T.
