Bharat Electronics signs MoU with Tata Electronics to boost to indigenous semiconductor solutions

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Electronics to jointly develop indigenous electronics and semiconductor solutions. This collaboration aligns with the Government of India’s vision for self-reliance in the electronics sector.
The MoU was signed on June 5, 2025, at Bombay House, Tata Group’s headquarters in Mumbai. The agreement was signed by Mr. Manoj Jain, Chairman & Managing Director of BEL, and Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO & Managing Director of Tata Electronics.
Under this partnership, BEL and Tata Electronics will explore opportunities in semiconductor fabrication (Fab), outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT), and design services. The collaboration aims to support BEL’s current and future requirements, including microcontrollers (MCUs), systems-on-chip (SoCs), monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), and other processors.
Both companies plan to share knowledge and best practices to develop efficient manufacturing solutions for BEL’s products, advancing India’s goal of self-reliance in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.
