April 2, 2025 – If you attended Hannover Messe, you likely couldn’t help but notice something at the Festo exhibit that got everyone talking: the “Incredible Machine”.

As part of its 100th anniversary celebrations, Festo unveiled the “Incredible Machine” at Hannover Messe to demonstrate its “diverse competencies and comprehensive expertise in automation technology”.
Something like a Rube Goldberg machine, the Incredible Machine doesn’t actually make a specific product. Instead, explained Festo CEO Thomas Böck:
“The machine demonstrates Festo’s diverse competencies and comprehensive expertise in automation technology, because inventiveness has been part of the company’s DNA from the very beginning.”
Show attendees could journey through the machine’s individual stations, which touch on applications ranging from battery production for electric cars, laboratory automation in the life sciences, to intralogistics and the semiconductor industry.
The machine references the family-owned company’s history, and concludes with actuators of the future.

Festo’s exhibit at Hannover Messe is attended by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Stephane Dion, Canada’s ambassador to France, Monaco, and the European Union.
While touring the Festo exhibit, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz congratulated the company on its 100-year anniversary. Stéphane Dion, Special Envoy of Canada (Hannover Messe’ partner country this year), also attended, alongside other dignitaries.
“Festo is optimistic about the current financial year and the next 100 years,” Böck told those assembled. “In doing so, we continue to focus on innovation and invest an above-average amount in research and development. This was and is the recipe for success […]”
