Gujarat CM: Only Modi could bring semiconductor sector to India, every Prime Minister tried
Every Prime Minister made efforts to bring the semiconductor sector to India but only Narendra Modi succeeded, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel asserted on Sunday as he dedicated development projects worth Rs 640 crore for Viramgam at an event.
The semiconductor industry is rapidly advancing in Sanand and Dholera, he further said, adding that PM Modi has significantly raised the country’s global standing through development-oriented politics. “Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the state government is consistently striving to tackle the issues and challenges faced by the people. Similarly, significant initiatives are underway for the development of the green energy sector in the country,” an official statement quoted the CM stating during the programme in Viramgam.
Speaking about the development journey, the Chief Minister highlighted that Gujarat is consistently undertaking various developmental projects. Throughout the state, “the government is dedicated to improving the well-being of the people through the inauguration and ceremonial foundation-stone laying ceremonies of various development works,” he said.
The Prime Minister has always taken a long-term approach, the Chief Minister asserted, adding, “In 2003, during his time as Chief Minister, he launched the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to promote industrial growth and job creation in the state. Today, the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit is acclaimed worldwide, and the expansion of businesses and industries in the Ahmedabad district is truly impressive.”
In discussing various development projects and initiatives started under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the Chief Minister stated that the nation is progressing towards becoming atmanirbhar (self-reliant) in every sector, with Gujarat playing a significant role in this transformation.
“Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, a massive campaign for natural farming is underway in the country. Today, farmers are moving away from chemical fertilizers to improve both their land and their health. The state government is also working to ensure that farmers receive the necessary electricity during the day,” he further said.
Referring to the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, the Chief Minister mentioned that Gujarat has also taken the lead in this campaign, achieving a 2 per cent increase in green cover within just one year.
Additionally, under the Prime Minister’s guidance, the Central Government has initiated the “Catch the Rain” campaign, aimed at conserving water by saving every drop of rain, he underlined. Discussing the PM’s vision for Viksit Bharat, the Chief Minister stressed that Gujarat will play a pivotal role in realising the vision by 2047. He conveyed the faith that “through collective efforts, we will contribute to building a Viksit Bharat,” underlined the official statement.
