Shares of Frencken, UMS and AEM fall after a report highlighted them among the top five most shorted stocks on the Singapore bourse
SINGAPORE’S semiconductor stocks were trading in the red on Tuesday (Oct 8) morning after they were named among the top five most-shorted stocks in the country.
Shares of Frencken slid S$0.03 or 2.2 per cent to S$1.31 as at 10.37am, and UMS declined S$0.02 or 1.9 per cent to S$1.05 as at 11.05am. AEM fell as much as S$0.08 or 5.5 per cent to S$1.37 as at 11.07am.
All three had recovered slightly as at 11.52am. Frencken was at S$1.32 (-1.5 per cent), with UMS at S$1.06 (-0.9 per cent) and AEM at S$1.39 (-4.1 per cent).
