In a boost to semiconductor industry, govt to organise ‘2024 SemiConnect ’

The Gujarat government will organise ‘SemiConnect 2024’ conference at Mahatma Mandir in Ahmedabad on Friday (July 19), in a bid to promote and facilitate local industries in expanding their product lines while integrating into the state’s burgeoning semiconductor industry, said officials on Tuesday.

The event — set to see the participation of top executives from leading semiconductor supply-chain industries from across the world — will be inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the officials added.

“Micron Technology, Tata Electronics, and CG Power — the three approved project proponents building their semiconductor manufacturing facilities in Gujarat — are collaborating with the state government, as knowledge partners, for the conference. Invest India and India Semiconductor Mission are also part of the conference,” read an official release.

“This conference will serve as a platform to bridge interactions between these major project proponents and local industries, spanning chemicals, gases, automation, electronics, IT and other allied sectors,” it added.

The SemiConnect 2024 will have eight thematic sessions on critical areas of the semiconductor industry.
