KCC has participated in the world’s largest power electronics exhibition, PCIM Europe 2025, held in Nuremberg, Germany, through May 8. The company highlighted its core material technologies for the power semiconductor sector to an international audience, reaffirming its status as a global player in the industry.

PCIM Europe serves as a premier global platform, bringing together industry experts from academia, research, and manufacturing to exchange the latest innovations in power electronics, smart motion, renewable energy, and energy management. Many leading corporations present their cutting-edge products and solutions, establishing this event as a key industry gathering.

At this year’s exhibition, KCC showcased several advanced materials tailored for high-power applications, including ceramic substrates with Active Metal Brazing (AMB) technology, Direct Copper Bonding (DCB) substrates, EMC (semiconductor packaging materials), and heat-dissipating silicon materials. Notably, the AMB ceramic substrates, known for their superior heat resistance and mechanical strength, attracted significant attention from international clients seeking reliable power semiconductor packages.

KCC operated a joint booth with its subsidiary, Momentive, where they demonstrated integrated, comprehensive solutions targeting power modules and the broader power semiconductor market. The collaboration combined KCC’s ceramic and silicon-based materials with Momentive’s high-performance silicone products, including advanced silicon gels designed for power electronics and e-mobility applications, maximizing technical synergy.

KCC’s EMC materials also garnered interest, responding to trends toward higher integration and density in semiconductor packaging. These materials, offering high reliability and thermal conductivity, are increasingly utilized in power devices and modules, further enhancing the company’s credibility.

This exhibition marks a strategic move for KCC to enhance its global supply capabilities and reinforce its advanced ceramic and silicon material technologies within the power semiconductor industry. The company plans to proactively respond to the rising demand driven by booming electric vehicle and renewable energy markets with next-generation material solutions.

A KCC official stated, “Leveraging our cutting-edge semiconductor material technologies combined with Momentive’s silicone expertise, we deliver unrivaled integrated solutions that differentiate us in the global market and strengthen our competitive edge.”

Additionally, Momentive will participate in the upcoming ‘The Battery Show Europe 2025’ in Stuttgart, Germany, this June, where both companies will showcase their semiconductor and battery material solutions.
