NAGPUR: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis announced on Saturday the state govt was in discussions with three companies to establish a semiconductor plant in Maharashtra.
The revelation came during the inauguration ceremony of Japanese company Horiba’s international medical equipment project at Butibori Industrial Estate here.
Addressing company officials from Japan and India, Fadnavis emphasized the significance of drawing global industries to Nagpur and heralding a new era for the city’s industrial sector.
“Our government has formulated a policy for semiconductor units in the state that aligns with the Central govt, while offering additional incentives to make business more viable for investors,” he said. “We are in early stages of talks with three major companies, and once discussions reach a more advanced stage, we will share more details,” he added.
