Murata Machinery plans new German site to service semiconductor plants

KYOTO, Japan — Murata Machinery will set up a new facility in Germany that will provide technical support for the maintenance and management of transport equipment used in semiconductor production lines.

The new office is set to open by July 2026 in the eastern state of Saxony. Murata already has a maintenance and inspection facility in Europe, but the new site will double as a training center for engineers from local semiconductor makers. It will be the company’s fourth overseas training center and its first in Europe.
