Odisha Government Partners with ITEES to Enhance Semiconductor Skill Development | Bhubaneswar News – Times of India
Bhubaneswar: A delegation led by Suresh Natarajan, the chief executive officer of the Institute of Technical Education and Education Services (ITEES) in Singapore, met with the chief secretary of Odisha, Manoj Ahuja, to discuss the growing demand for skilled human resources in the semiconductor and related fields in Odisha and across the country.
Official sources said that proposals were made during the meeting to provide training in IT-enabled services and the semiconductor sector in Odisha. “The Odisha govt is prioritising the development of a skilled workforce in this sector with strategic importance to promote industrial growth and establish the state as a hub for advanced manufacturing,” reads a govt statement.
It states that the ‘Skilled in Odisha’ initiative aims to create a robust ecosystem to meet the demand for talented and skilled human resources in high-tech industries requiring advanced knowledge and skills for product or service creation.
“Odisha is set to play a significant role in the semiconductor value chain by investing in independent training programmes and establishing industry partnerships, contributing to the country’s self-reliance in this critical sector,” the statement added.
