Semiconductor Australia announced for October – Australian Manufacturing Forum

ASX-listed semiconductor developer and manufacturer BluGlass has announced a one-day Semiconductor Australia Conference 2024 conference in October.

In a statement on Thursday, Bluglass said it has partnered with the Semiconductor Sector  Service Bureau (S3B), and ShareCafe on the event, to be held at Deloitte’s premises in Sydney’s Quay Quarter Tower on October 24..

It will feature “presentations from more than a dozen public and private Australian semiconductor, quantum, and photonics companies” as well as Australia’s Chief  Scientist Dr Cathy Foley, roundtable sessions on the topics of Australia’s semiconductor moonshot and “the quantum revolution”.

“Semiconductor Australia builds on BluGlass’ market education series, bringing together Australian semiconductor innovators, key policy makers, and the  international investor community to drive investment in critical sectors where we are already globally competitive,” said BluGlass Chair James Walker.

“While semiconductors are vital and underpin all advanced technology and capabilities today, it is one of the least  understood sectors locally.

“Occurring at a critical moment in Australia’s history, this premier event is designed to showcase the significant achievements and developments of the sector, discuss challenges and policy frameworks  to overcome systemic barriers, and provide opportunities for attendees to meet and invest in Australia’s leading technology innovators.”

The event will be streamed live, with virtual attendance free, with in-person passes for the day priced at $395.
