WEF 2025: Devendra Fadnavis leaves for Davos, likely to sign MoUs for automobiles, semiconductors, EVs and more – Economy News

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has left for Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) beginning Monday. As per the statement, the chief minister is expected to sign Memorandum Of Understanding (MoUs) for data centres, automobiles, semiconductors, electric vehicles, electronics, steel, food processing, textiles, pharma, infrastructure and other sectors during his visit. During the five-day event, he is expected to focus on boosting Maharashtra’s economy and job creation.

This marks Fadnavis’ fourth participation at the WEF, having attended three times during his first term as CM. His visit aims to attract global investments and further Maharashtra’s goal of becoming a trillion-dollar economy.

India’s ‘unity in diversity’ will be showcased at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2025 in Davos, with its largest-ever delegation, including five union ministers, three chief ministers, and nearly 100 CEOs.

What Chandrababu Naidu aims to pitch for Andhra Pradesh?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, starting Monday. He aims to promote “Brand AP” and attract global investments by highlighting the state’s strengths, including its human resources, infrastructure, and business-friendly policies. The Andhra CM will leave Amaravati for Delhi at 4 pm on Sunday, followed by a flight to Zurich at 1.30 am on Monday.

In Zurich, Naidu will meet India’s ambassador to Switzerland. Later, he will meet industrialists at a local hotel and follow it up with a meeting with Telugu industrialists.

At the “Meet and Greet Telugu Diaspora” event, Naidu will discuss investment opportunities and promote Andhra Pradesh.

After this engagement, the chief minister will embark on a four-hour drive to Davos where he will take part in a dinner meeting with industrialists, followed by a special meeting with ArcelorMittal executive chairman Lakshmi Mittal.

Naidu will meet top industrialists, including executives from companies like Coca-Cola, LG, and Walmart, to discuss investment opportunities. He will also focus on green hydrogen and engage with the Telugu diaspora to promote the state. The four-day visit will include multiple high-level meetings, with Naidu being accompanied by key ministers and officials.
