SK Hynix has been named one of the “World’s Most Ethical Companies” for 2025 by Ethisphere, a global leader in defining and advancing ethical business practices. This recognition marks the first time a domestic semiconductor company has received this prestigious honor, highlighting SK Hynix’s commitment to ethical management and corporate integrity.
SK Hynix said, “The company has been acknowledged globally for its efforts in establishing and systematically diagnosing and implementing its own ethical management goals over the years,” and emphasized its dedication to enhancing corporate value based on a globally top-level ethical management system that stakeholders can trust.
The company attributes this achievement to the proactive and voluntary participation of its members in ethical management. It conducts an “Ethics Practice Pledge” and an “Ethics Practice Survey” every year to create a culture in which its members practice and improve ethical management on their own.
Since 2023, SK Hynix has been actively sharing its ethical management system operation methods and know-how with its partners, aiming to build a comprehensive ethical management system that includes all stakeholders.
The World’s Most Ethical Companies are selected based on the “Ethics Quotient” developed by Ethisphere, which evaluates over 240 detailed questions across five categories: Ethics and Compliance Program, Corporate Governance, Ethical Culture, Environmental and Societal Impact, and Supply Chain Policies. This year, 136 companies from 44 industries across 19 countries were recognized, with SK Hynix being one of the four companies in the semiconductor sector to receive this accolade.
Erica Salmon Byrne, CEO of Ethisphere, congratulated SK Hynix on its recognition, stating, “This recognition reflects the company’s genuine commitment to enhancing business integrity.”
Kwok No-jung, CEO of SK Hynix, expressed gratitude to the members who have worked diligently to have the company’s ethical management principles recognized in the global market. He remarked, “We will continue to live up to the trust given by stakeholders and strive to fulfill our ethical responsibilities as a leading AI memory company.”
